Every month after PartsHub updates its databases with the latest Auto Care Vehicle Configuration database (VCdb), there will likely be items with invalid vehicles because of dropped vehicle IDs.

Many of the dropped IDs are related to updated information within the Base Engine values (i.e., liters, CCs, CID, etc.), or a common vehicle attribute across many part types, like Drive Type or Body Type.

The following steps to correcting your invalid vehicles is assuming your Base Vehicle (year-make-model) is valid:

  1. Do a quick review of your items with invalid vehicles to identify the type of fitment errors, and note which types they are and possible common corrections.
  2. Export your items with invalid fitments. (At this time, PartsHub does not export just invalid fitments.) Select PartsHub Loadsheet under the Fitment Format choices.
  3. If correcting Base Engine issues, clear the values in the "engine" columns not applicable to your fitment. (Oftentimes, this means clearing all values except Liters, Block and/or Cylinders.) DO NOT delete the columns, just clear out the values.
  4. If correcting other vehicle attributes, enter the correct/new values.
  5. Double check your entries and upload your corrections to PartsHub.
  6. Go to Import Review and select an item or a few items to import to check for intended results.
  7. If satisfied with results, import the remaining items.
This method will not necessarily address all your invalid vehicle issues, but it will greatly reduce the number in which you'll have to correct within PartsHub.
