PartsHub makes it easy for you to find and correct any invalid product attribute data based on the most recent version of the PAdb.

PartsHub will notify users if product attributes are invalid. There will be TWO (2) different reasons for an invalidation error:

  1. The attribute is not valid for the part type specified (per the most recent version of the PAdb*)
  2. The value entered for the attribute is not valid for that specific attribute

In order to fix the first kind of invalidation error, users have 2 options.  You can remove the invalid PAdb attribute and enter the information as a user attribute. Or you can remove the invalid attribute and chose another attribute from the list of suggested attributes for that part type.

To fix the second kind of invalidation error, users will need to change the value to fit the PAdb valid properties for that attribute. For example, each attribute value will have select values available (shown in a dropdown menu) OR an allowable number and type of characters used.  See the hints column, "entry details" for more information.

*You can see which version of the PAdb that PartsHub is validating against from your Dashboard. PartsHub will show the date of the release.
