Best Practices: Data Submissions to SEMA Data Co-op

In the past, we have found errors with SDC’s ability to process update/net change files. Most often, what you upload in SDC is the exact file that receivers may have access to download.

For the best practice using PartsHub, we recommend use your Published catalogs, and send complete/full updates to SDC.

For example, if you’ve only updated a few parts, but want to an update SDC:

1. Publish the parts you’ve updated
2. From Published, select all (or use a list of SDC-only specified products) and Export to Receiver “SEMA Data Coop”

Using this workflow will ensure that what you see in your Published catalog on PartsHub is reflected 100% accurately on SDC.

We will allow you to export Update/Partial XMLs in the near future, but again in our experience, updating SDC with full files is the safest bet.
